 Brian Samuels, MD, FACP, FCP (SA)

 

Dr. Brian Samuels is a board certified medical oncologist, trained at the University of Chicago. After completing his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology in 1988, he joined the faculty of the University of Chicago. in the Section of Hematology/Oncology as an Assistant Professor.

He founded and ran the medical oncology sarcoma service there from 1988 to 1995. He then moved to the University of Illinois at Chicago as an Associate Professor and, in turn, founded and ran the medical oncology sarcoma service at that institution, from 1996 to 2004. 

In 2004, he relocated to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and entered general oncology practice.

He has continued his interest in the management of patients with sarcoma and serves as a regional referral resource for sarcoma for surgeons and for other medical oncologists. He has continued his interests in clinical research in sarcoma after moving to a general oncology practice situation and continues to publish clinical research papers in the field.

Given an academic background in subspecialty practice in sarcoma and now with 17 years of experience in the practice of general medical oncology. Dr. Samuels is in a good position to provide expert analytical review in all cases to do with cancer or cancer treatment but also has a special expertise in the field of sarcoma.
